We will explore the people, places, events, and ideas that have shaped our world throughout its long and varied past. Along the way, we will examine how different societies interacted with each other in order to form alliances or wage war; trace the paths of cultural diffusion as ideas spread across continents; look at how technological advances influenced life and warfare; consider economic developments such as mercantilism, industrialization, globalization; analyze political systems like monarchy, democracy, communism; delve into religious movements such as Christianity and Islam; investigate environmental changes due to human activity or natural occurrences; discuss social issues like poverty and inequality – all while highlighting key individuals who made their mark on world history. Through this journey, we hope you gain an appreciation for our shared global heritage. A better understanding of world history will help us to identify our shared past, recognize our current reality, and make informed decisions about the future.

We will begin at the dawn of civilization, examining early empires such as ancient Egypt and Mesopotamia, and explore how great civilizations developed across the world in places like China, India, Greece, Rome, and Persia. Through this journey, we hope you gain an appreciation for our shared global heritage.
